Greetings from Fast Threads

When it comes to 'glamor' I have to rate myself about a 6 on the 1-10 scale. Not for lack of effort!! I wear make-up, but don't really know how to apply it! I have a 'hair-do', but combined with humidity, looks like wet noodles as soon as I walk out the door!! And I'm not a fancy dresser!! Long ago, I ditched my a-line skirts and high heels for blue jeans and flip flops!!

This week, in anticipation of my anniversary vacation, I decided to have my nails done!! And I mean done!! The whole nine yards!! I started with a pedicure, hot pink polish and feet that could be featured in a magazine!! Next, I opted for a French manicure...the one with the white tips!! I usually keep my nails real short so I thought I would give acrylic nails a try!! Wow, what a change!! Stumpy fingers have been transformed!! Transformed into worthless pegs attached to busy hands!! I can't peel a stamp! I can't pick up a straight pin! I can't turn a page!! I can hardly type!! Glamor?? It's for the birds!! The next time I get the urge to pretty up my hands, I will put on a pair of mittens and then try to thread a needle!!!
